Look up, look far and look wide

I was feeling homesick but I couldn’t go back.
Not that I was unhappy but yet could not be settled.

Within my sight there was no tangible comfort.
I knew it would be very difficult to go on like this.

Then a soft voice spoke to me, “Look up.”
If my sight is near I will not see much.

“Look far.”
Lest my short-sightedness anchored me down and not go far.

“Look wide.”
Ponder upon the vastness of possibilities.

I smiled.
So much can be done and why did my feet stop her pace?

I remembered my family and friends.
Bath of comfort returned to me. The thoughts of them kept me lifted up.

Here are the shots of looking up, looking far and looking wide.
Of places I never set my foot on, my friends there helped me to get a glimpse.

For as long as there’s a sky over my head, I could look up, look far and look wide.
Wherever I may be. And take comfort.

Inspired by Psalm 8 ~ The Glory of the LORD in Creation

O LORD, O Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!
Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ordained strength,
Because Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
All sheep and oxen – even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea
That pass through the paths of the seas.
O LORD, O Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!
