a toast to TWEET!

When the JPD meets, there’re noise n food, I mean A L.O.T. of F.O.O.D!

JPD is a fond acronym for Jabatan Pemakanan & Dietetik (Department of Nutrition & Dietetics) and for our batch especially – we called ourselves GAGAK belonging to a Kampung a.k.a wu-ya-chun due to our loudness and some of us, high-pitchness! Hahaha..

Back to the FOOD part, I guess we never learn accurate estimation. With food, we ALWAYS over-supply :D too passionate about it maybe. Mind you, we’re all trained nutritionists and dietitians, while we are paid to advise ppl on dietary habits, we do let the guards down on ourselves esp when we gather for makan :)

History repeated itself when we met last weekend at Jia Yi’s comfy home. No doubt, we brought in TOO MUCH food. We were gathering for Tweet, before she left for Taiwan to do a 4-yr course there. Tweet, please prepare a lodging fits for a kampung-size there :p we’re opening a branch office in Taiwan!! Hehe.. It was also Ee Ping’s birthday so we sang song too :) Happy Birthday Ee Ping!!

There were 40-plus of us in our batch and now working in all parts of the country with 5 in Singapore, making it very rare to have 13 of us (2 from Singapore!!) together under a roof last weekend. We enjoyed every bit of the moment together that afternoon, laughing our heads off and stuffing one another with food. Thanks Jia Yi for opening your house for us and Li Yin for doing the difficult logistic to get us together!

To find a friend that ‘clicks’ is hard, what more a kampung-size of great friends, I’m so so blessed! My dear Gagak friends, I wish all of you continual success in career and everything that you do. Always remember, after a hard day’s work, you could always wind down with another gagak or the whole kampung :) or if you need someone to purr on, we’re around ~miao..
