Blogging with(out) Cause

A while ago, an old friend asked me endlessly of why I blog. What was I thinking when I write those entries that I published? Why did I write what I have written? What were my motives and agendas? Why did I had those pictures too, any specific reasons? Did I have a concept in writing? What messages were I conveying or implying in those entries?

Man, supposedly thought-provoking la… BUT he concluded for me in 2 simple words that I agreed without second thought – SYOK SENDIRI! (translation: self-entertaining!) ah bo then? For world peace ar?

Some write blogs to fulfill their dream as writer, another likes to share interests and passions through blog so others know what he/she likes and don’t, there are those that rant about life in a faraway land so family at home is informed, another has blog because ‘everyone has it’ and many do so for personal-yet-not-so-private journaling. Well, people write for thousand-and-one reasons or even no reason at all can? Perhaps sub-consciously, I write for ALL the reasons above.

One thing I'm sure now through blogging is I discover I'm not really into writing as much as I thought.. I'm a reader, learner, thinker, analyser, one who speaks etc whatever, not so much a writer. I can spend a good long time reading but not so on writing. Mmm.. good to know that.

A day may come that I don’t write anymore and delete this blog, that would be the day I no longer syok (feel fun) about writing anymore.. even this entry is a pure syok sendiri entry itself!
